Educational Opportunities - The annual conference, specialty workshops offering Continuing Education Units and regional Branch meetings guarantee APRA members up-to-date information on issues, trends and timely subjects relating to the recreation, parks and leisure fields.

Legislative Representation - The interests of APRA members are communicated and promoted to State and National lawmakers.

Publications - The Arizona Parks & Recreation Magazine, a quarterly publication, provides in-depth articles on current activities, trends, programming and management ideas from around the state. Trailblazer is a periodic newsletter with association and Professional Branch news.

Liaison Services - The Executive Director and the Board of Directors provide a link between members and Arizona's Government agencies and organizations. Representation is also provided on a regional and national basis to the National Recreation & Park Association and other related groups.

Networking Opportunities - APRA, via it's membership database and it's new web site, provides each member access to current information on professional contacts in Arizona. Conferences, workshops and regional meetings al- low for face-to-face contact with peers across the state.

Voluntary Professional Certification - Employees in recreation, park resources or leisure service fields can become certified by applying to APRA, and by fulfilling the requirements approved by the appropriate certifying boards.

Scholarships - Professional education is encouraged. The Arizona Parks & S Recreation Fund, as well as many APRA Branches award a limited number of scholarships and professional grants for continuing education.

A variety of benefits from car rental and travel discounts to reduced pricing on theme park tickets are available to APRA members.
