The CPRP & CPRE Certification Committee and National Certification Board have approved a policy allowing a six month renewal extension for Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) and Certified Park and Recreation Executive (CPRE) certified professionals whose maintenance cycle expires March 1, 2022.

An email will be sent to all qualified, certified professionals tomorrow with information on how to request an extension online through the My NRPA tab in their NRPA Profile. The deadline to request an extension is May 31, 2022. An extension request would update an existing renewal expiration date from March 1, 2022 to September 1, 2022. Certified professionals who request an extension will maintain a new maintenance cycle beginning and ending in September. Individuals who have previously received an extension are not eligible for an additional extension unless granted through appeal to the CPRP & CPRE Certification Committee.
