The Arizona Parks and Recreation Association, a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization, we were founded in 1950 to provide professional development, advocacy and resources to all who work in the field of parks, recreation and environmental conservation. We are a membership based professional organization not directly affiliated or supported by any city, state or county agency. Our membership is made up of widely diverse professionals who work for local municipalities, state and county parks, private recreation agencies, HOA's, golf courses and a variety of businesses who service the industry. 

APRA has multiple formats to serve the wide variety of our members, including five regions dedicated to providing support to a broad range of parks and recreation professionals. In addition to certification classes, workshops, advocacy events, and networking opportunities throughout the year, APRA hosts a statewide annual conference and trade show every summer. This event features programs and parks unique to Arizona, insightful educational sessions, innovative exhibitors, and statewide awards.

To provide professional development, advocacy and resources to all who enhance quality of life through parks, recreation and environmental conservation.
