Are you an outdoor professional or dreaming about spending your days in Arizona's beautiful landscapes? Join APRA at Outdoor Professionals Day 2013. The day will be filled with exploration and education for Arizona's outdoor enthusiasts!

6:00 - Bike Tour with AOA (.2 CEUs)
The adventure begins with a tour overview provided by Arizona Outback Adventures' mountain bike guide staff. Nestled in the lower Verde River basin, the 21,099-acre McDowell Mountain Park is a desert jewel in the northeast Valley. With over 50 miles of mountain bike trails, and spectacular views, the park is famous for the quality of mountain bike terrain. 

Morning Schedule
6:00 AM: Depart Scottsdale Princess Resort on bus
6:30 AM: Arrive at Tombs Thumb Trailhead in McDowell Sonoran Preserve / Safety talk / Get fit with mountain bike
7:00 AM: Depart on mountain bike ride
9:00 AM: Arrive at McDowell Mountain Regional Park / Debrief
9:30 AM: Depart to Scottsdale Princess Resort
10:00 AM: Arrive at resort to attend general session

Chris Kennedy is Vice President of Revenue Management at GoDaddy.com, the world's largest provider of domain names and web hosting. Chris has been with GoDaddy.com since 2004, and has held leadership positions in marketing, business intelligence, and product management.

A panel of professionals from a variety of natural resource backgrounds, representing municipal, county, state, and federal organizations, will address safety issues and concerns in parks and on trails. Discussion will include managing different user groups and impacts to natural resources and the sustainability of trails.

Explore QR codes, podcasts and other technology on the trail, in addition to Google 3D trail mapping.


Join the Natural Resources Branch for their meeting on Tuesday, August 27 from 4:00pm-4:45pm. After that, join APRA for happy hour, opening of the exhibit hall and a poker tournament or bingo hosted by APRF. Learn more here.
